Semeru volcano, Indonesia

Semeru Volcano is an active conical volcano built of many layers (also called a stratovolcano known) in East Java, Indonesia. Semeru is the highest mountain on Java (Java island itself is a result of recent volcanic eruptions). Semeru volcano was believed by Hindu Buddhists as the residence of the gods and was called "The Great Mountain". Climbing the volcano is a great experience, but it is recommended to start at 04.00 clock, when it comes to parking space, and the viewing area is too full (notice it during this time of the morning very cold). the hike to the crater itself is not too difficult and well worth the effort
