One of the unusual geological formation on the General Cabrera Lake, Chile (Lake Buenos Aires, Argentina's part) are the marble caves aka Cuevas de Mármol. This is a formation of a calcium carbonate over a period of 6200 years or more is formed. Marbel Caves are a few small islands, the great attraction are on this lake on the border between Chile and Argentina. They have separate names, marble Cathedral, Marble Chapel and Marble Cave. You are far from any road and only way to get it is to get away by boat. Local companies offer 30-minute tours, the tourists can see the beautiful marble caves. When the water level of the lake is low, it is possible to obtain in the caves and enjoy the beautiful azure reflections of the wall in the clear water.

This beautiful caves, which are carved in marble, are a true masterpiece of nature. Marble Caves are just a small example of how nature is beautiful and full of surprises.
