Geamana is an abandoned village in Romania. Geamana really looks like an amazing place, but it's a very sad story, which, when the valley was of contaminated water from a copper open pit ( Roşia Poieni ). The cyanide-based mining residue flooded the valley and the village, which has become today a deserted village with a stinking reddish lake. Although the colors are beautiful, the stench near the lake, it is intolerable, and the ecosystem it is completely destroyed. Unfortunately, nearby is a second project on the (2014) to start a gold mine (cyanide mining as well). Geamana largest surreal sight is likely that the flooded & amp; amp; partially submerged church in the poisonous red sea, seen in the photos below

The statue of Decebalus is located near the town of Orsova, in southwestern Romania. The statue is carved into the rock and mountain illustration Decebalus, The Last King of Dacia (Dacia was the land occupied by the Dacians, in the 1st century BC and the 2nd century AD, Dacia is in present-day Romania). The monument is about 40 meters high (the tallest rock sculpture in Europe).
The Statue of Decebalus can only be reached by a boat trip, but it can be seen from the road (there is even a sort of parking lot to stop and see the Danube and the monument by far.) The Statue of Decebalus took 10 years to carve and even if it looks like it's as old as the ruler of Dacia there to say, it is rather new in this world is (sculpture 1994-2004) - Twelve sculptors worked on it. The entire project was proposed and financed by one of the richest ever lived Romanians, Iosif Constantin Drăgan Business (1917 - 2008), it is assumed that Daragan spent $ 1 million on this project. There is an inscription (in Latin) just below the carved face, says :. "Decebalus REX DRAGAN FECIT" (or in English - "King Decebal-Made by Dragan")
