Schwerin Castle is a palatial palace in the city of Schwerin in Germany. Its excellent location, situated on an island in the lake, it is one of the most-visited and most photographed castles in Germany. In the past, the castle was owned for centuries, the dukes and grand dukes of Mecklenburg and later Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Today, the castle became the seat of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's state parliament. It is believed that this amazing castle dates from the 10th century.
