The Neuschwanstein Castle was in the second half of the 19th century it was developed, built to be a neo-Romanesque palace and was chosen on a rocky hill directly above the village of Hohenschwangau (East Bavaria) to be built in Germany. Ludwig II of Bavaria wanted this palace as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner.
