The Neuschwanstein Castle was in the second half of the 19th century it was developed, built to be a neo-Romanesque palace and was chosen on a rocky hill directly above the village of Hohenschwangau (East Bavaria) to be built in Germany. Ludwig II of Bavaria wanted this palace as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner. Neuschwanstein Castle was opened to the public immediately after Ludwig's death in 1886 and is one of the most important inspiration for Castle Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle
