Tel Dor, Israel

Tel Dor is a perfect blend of beauty, history and nature, located on the Israeli Mediterranean coast, it is an a archeological site and an amazing beach. The archaeological excavations began in the 1920s, and since then several excavations have taken. Tel Dor Beach is a little difficult to access, but it's worth the effort, the beach itself is right next to the remains of an ancient Roman temple, which even makes it an exotic experience. Just a few minutes walk from the south of Tel Dor, there is a very crowded beach, which is easier to approach. This ancient settlement is also mentioned in the Bible a few times (Joshua 00:23; Joshua 11: 1-2; Judges 1:27).
