Telica is an active volcano crater, in "Volcán Telica Rota Nature Reserve" is located in northeastern Nicaragua (about 15 kilometers north of Leon) is a conical volcano Telica (composed of many layers). It Telica municipality, in the department of León, Nicaragua. Telica is one of Nicaragua's most active volcanoes and has many times in the past erupted (which plants cover the slopes). The neighboring town of San Jacinto is probably the best place to start the hike to the volcano, this small town is also known for its steaming mud pits, and it's tiny geothermal power plant.
