Hobbiton is a fictional village that appeared in the novels: "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" by JRR Tolkien. Hobbiton village was as a set (for the films based on the novels) is built on a farm near a small town called Matamata in northern New Zealand. It was decided to set to keep the hobbit holes as a tourist attraction, (they mix together gently in the environment), there is also a sign that says :. "Welcome to Hobbiton" on the main road, the people of this wonderful city Hobbit
