November 9, 2014 a day that marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. On this day the eyes of the world are to be found in Berlin again.
The Berlin Wall was a barrier that was 1961-1990, built by the GDR, completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Berlin and East Germany. The Berlin Wall was also known as the "death strip" after a few many unfriendly events.
The presence of wall was causing many incidents and inconvenience. In 1989, a peaceful revolution began. Soon all restrictions on the crossing of the wall have been lifted. It was a great victory for the people and for democracy in Germany.
Each year, the fall of the Wall on November 9, celebrating the people. On 9 November 2009 was a great celebration, because the 20-year anniversary. The fall of the Berlin Wall is celebrated with a "Festival of Freedom".

Today when Berlin in daylight walk you can not notice that there are separated into two different parts. But this wall left a scar in Berlin. The best way which can be seen during the nights and watch the city from above. The East Berlin night lights are yellow and the West Berlin is with white light. The Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield took a picture, which shows the difference.
