Derweze is a small village in Turkmenistan, not far from the village, in the middle of the Karakum desert, there is a huge burning hole in the ground! This hole is the locals "The Door to Hell".
Soviet geologists (back in the early 70s) held surveys around the area when a drilling rig into the ground creating a 70-meter-wide hole in the desert called her together.
Since the hole was filled with toxic and combustible gases, they decided, it lights up, the fire of the gas consumption is, they charged and the fire is constantly burning since 1971st
