Simonopetra Monastery (Greek for "Simon Rock '), is an Eastern Orthodox monastery in northeastern Greece (near mt. Athos on the Athos peninsula).
Simonopetra monastery located on top of a huge rock built about 330 meters above sea level. The monastery was restarted bulit in the 13th century, since it was burned to the ground several times, and almost in abundance, the structure there are now rebuilt in the late 19th century, and it is . still pretty spectacular, this day
