Belgrade fortress is located on the crossing of the river Sava and the Danube, in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
In the old days all of the population lived in the closed perimeter of the fortress is Belgrade Fortress. as is known - "The Kalemegdan fortress"
The name comes from Kalemegdan Turkish :. Kale (in English - stronghold) and Megdan (in English - Battlefield) ("Battlefield Fortress")
