Mont Saint-Michel (St Michael's Mount) is a rocky tidal island (This means that there is an island only at high tide) in Normandy, French.
Mont Saint-Michel is located right on the unloading point Couesnon river meets the ocean. Today there are less than 50 people actually living on the island, and it is believed it was first settled around the 8th century
